Ana founded Be For Change with the belief that everything can be made with purpose and ethics, used with care and cherished for many years.
‘Waste is a failure in Creativity’ and at Be For Change we lack neither: we source materials being wasted at an industrial level and create useful products made to last.
Ana Carneiro graduated in BA (Hons) Product Design from Central Saint Martins in 2015 and has been working within sustainable design since. Ana strongly believes in the need for more sustainable lifestyles and actively works within that field. To further her knowledge within the field of sustainability, she has taken the Cradle to Cradle design course from C2C Certified, achieving a Silver certification on closed-loop design. Ana also sits in the Steering Group of the Sustainability Network at The RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce).

It's been over a year since we introduced Be For Change to the public, we are slowly growing and looking for new challenges.
We have introduced multiple remakes of our original Bag For Change, all made from fabric surplus; created products for different companies looking to be more circular; and have launched a collection of homewares and accessories made from leather waste.

The Spotted Award's panel of judges, comprising of leading industry professionals from the likes of Tate Enterprises, The Conran Shop and Wolf & Badger, has chosen the winner based on the criteria of originality and innovation, commercial viability, clarity of brand and communication of message, and quality of the design.
